Mt. Maria property includes a complete full-service, turn-key restaurant with a rare resort liquor license. Mt. Maria Bar and Grill was a former ski lodge at the base of the hill. The lodge was recently renovated into an elegant, rustic gourmet restaurant. The lodge offers a museum equivalent of local history, and contains hundreds of photos of early Hubbard Lake residents. Patrons can eat, drink and relax while enjoying breathtaking views of the hills, numerous deer, turkey and other wildlife. At the top of Mt. Maria is the site of the Austin Backus Memorial. Other historic area attractions include Indian, maritime and early settler heritage museums, Sturgeon Point historic lighthouse tours, and more.
